Minted Launches the Minted 50: 50 Days of Spontaneous Creativity

Minted, the global marketplace of independent artists, today announced the launch of the Minted 50, a series of 50 creative projects produced on 50 consecutive days by 50 artists and creatives. Celebrating creativity in the everyday, each project will be spontaneous and completed within the course of one day. At the end of 50 days, all of the projects will be exhibited at the gallery of Van’s General Store in New York City, and auctioned off to benefit RxArt, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help children heal through the extraordinary power of visual art.

Minted, an online design marketplace that connects consumers with independent artists, today released findings that the presidential election has noticeably impacted the types of holiday cards consumers are sending this year. Minted takes a data-driven approach to designing products and identifying consumer trends. The company crowdsources stationery, art, and home decor from 10,000 independent artists through monthly competitions and analyzes millions of consumer votes using proprietary algorithms to determine which products to sell.

Pottery Barn Kids and PBteen, members of the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. portfolio of brands, in partnership with Minted, the design marketplace that connects consumers with the world’s best artists, today launched a new product collaboration featuring wall art created by Minted’s community of independent artists designed for nursery, kid and teen rooms. The winning artwork, available today at Pottery Barn Kids and PBteen is the result of the “Minted x Pottery Barn Kids x PBteen Wall Art Challenge” that launched February 2016. More than 7,300 works of art were submitted by artists around the globe through Minted's unique crowdsourcing platform, resulting in 55 winning pieces to be sold at Pottery Barn Kids and PBteen.
